What is teletherapy? Is it just as successful as face-to-face therapy?
Absolutely! Online therapy has proven to be just as successful as face-to-face therapy for many individuals. Numerous studies and clinical trials have consistently shown that the effectiveness of therapy is not compromised when conducted remotely.

Here are some key points to consider:

Convenience and Accessibility: Online therapy provides unprecedented convenience and accessibility. Clients can engage in therapy sessions from the comfort of their own homes, eliminating the need for travel. This is particularly beneficial for individuals with busy schedules, mobility issues, or those living in remote areas.

Consistent Quality of Care: Therapists who offer online services are trained to provide the same high-quality care as they would in person. The therapeutic techniques, interventions, and strategies remain consistent, ensuring that clients receive effective support regardless of the mode of delivery.
Increased Comfort and Flexibility: Some clients may feel more at ease in their own environment, leading to increased openness and comfort during therapy sessions. Online therapy also offers greater scheduling flexibility, allowing clients to find appointment times that suit their lifestyles.
Technological Advancements: With advancements in technology, online platforms offer secure and confidential communication. Video conferencing, chat, and other online tools allow therapists to build strong therapeutic relationships with their clients, fostering a sense of connection and trust.
Effective Communication: Therapists are skilled in adapting their communication style to the online format. Many find that the virtual setting can enhance communication, as clients may feel more comfortable expressing themselves through written messages or in a face-to-face video setting.
Continuity of Care: Online therapy ensures continuity of care, especially during times when in-person sessions may be challenging, such as during travel restrictions, health concerns, or unexpected life events. This consistency is crucial for maintaining progress and addressing ongoing therapeutic goals.
While some individuals may have a preference for in-person sessions, the evidence overwhelmingly supports the effectiveness of online therapy. The choice between online and face-to-face therapy ultimately depends on individual preferences, needs, and circumstances.
Our experienced therapists are committed to providing the same level of care and support, regardless of the mode of delivery. If you have any specific concerns or questions, feel free to reach out, and we'll be happy to address them. Your well-being is our priority!

What’s the difference between talking to you or my best friend or family?
The difference is between someone who can do something, and someone who has the training and experience to do that same thing professionally. A mental health professional can help you approach your situation in a new way– teach you new skills, gain different perspectives, listen to you without judgment or expectations, and help you listen to yourself. Furthermore, counseling is completely confidential. You won’t have to worry about others “knowing my business.” Lastly, if your situation provokes a great deal of negative emotion, and you’ve been confiding in a friend or family member, there is the risk that once you are feeling better you could start avoiding that person so you aren’t reminded of this difficult time in your life.
3 /
Why shouldn’t I just take medication?
Medication can be effective but it alone cannot solve all issues. Sometimes medication is needed in conjunction with counseling. Our work together is designed to explore and unpack the problems you are experiencing and expand on your strengths that can help you accomplish your personal goals.
4 /
How does it work? What do I have to do in sessions?
During a teletherapy session, you’ll meet with your therapist through a secure online video platform. Sessions are private, confidential, and designed to focus on your goals and needs. You’ll have the chance to talk openly about your thoughts, feelings, and experiences while your therapist listens, guides, and helps you develop practical strategies for coping, problem-solving, and personal growth.

Teletherapy works much like in-person therapy—except you can participate from the comfort of your home. Each session is collaborative, and you’ll learn tools to manage challenges, explore your emotions, and make positive changes in your life.
5 /
How long will it take for me to see results?
The length of therapy varies depending on your goals, the issues you’re addressing, and your progress over time. Some clients benefit from just a few sessions, while others may continue for several months to work through deeper challenges.
Your therapist will work with you to create a plan tailored to your needs and will regularly check in to adjust the pace and focus of your sessions. The most important part is consistent participation and applying what you learn between sessions to see meaningful results.
6 /
I want to get the most out of therapy. What can I do to help?
To get the most out of therapy, come to sessions ready to be open and honest about your thoughts, feelings, and experiences. Be willing to try new strategies, practice skills between sessions, and communicate with your therapist about what’s working or what feels challenging. The more you engage in the process and apply what you learn, the more progress you’re likely to make.

When are payments due?
4 /
Copays are charged before your appointment using the payment method on file. If your insurance claim includes a deductible or additional out-of-pocket balance, payment is due once the claim is processed, typically within 2 to 4 weeks.
Why do I still have a payment due on my account when you take my insurance?
5 /
Even when using insurance, you may still have a financial responsibility, such as a copay, deductible, or coinsurance. These costs are determined by your insurance plan and are typically required at the time of service.

We recommend contacting your insurance provider directly to better understand your specific coverage and any out-of-pocket costs you may be responsible for.
